Football crazy, football mad credit cards!

August 30th, 2010 by Ron Martin No comments »

Alright then, you might not be the type of person who looks at airmiles and money of CDs and dvds like the type of person i mentioned in my previous post about choosing the best credit card.  You might just be a solid football club supporter who wants to do his bit!  I won’t mention any clubs here so that i don’t offend anyone!… » Read more: Football crazy, football mad credit cards!

Choosing the best credit card needn’t be hard

August 26th, 2010 by Ron Martin No comments »

Choosing the best credit card isn’t entirely about the interest rate and the amount of time you can get a balance transfer with 0% interest.  Although these things are very important, they are not the be all and end all of the whole business.  And whilst it is important to use credit card comparison sites such as this one for help and advice, there is a lot to be said for knowing what you want… » Read more: Choosing the best credit card needn’t be hard

Teen Credit Cards

August 24th, 2010 by Ron Martin No comments »

There are a number of credit cards out there at the moment that are perfect for teenagers.  The trouble is, do you trust your teen with a credit card?  Well it needn’t be a case of that, in the beginning anyway, and there are enormous benefits from allowing your teen to get their hands on one at this point in their life… » Read more: Teen Credit Cards

Get a credit rebuilder card

August 19th, 2010 by Ron Martin No comments »

If you have been a little naughty in the past or perhaps had some misfortune that has led you to get heavily into debt then you will realise just how hard it is to get back in the good books and get back on the financial ladder.  This can be devastating to anyone who is in this position, particularly if they haven’t yet purchased a home… » Read more: Get a credit rebuilder card

Card charity is the new thing

August 16th, 2010 by Ron Martin No comments »

Is this the new way of getting money to people who need it?  Well, apparently it really could be.  There are thousands of credit card holders in the UK alone and many of them have opted to sign up for a charity credit card rather than take rewards for themselves… » Read more: Card charity is the new thing

Cridit Cards are not all evil

August 13th, 2010 by Ron Martin No comments »

When you see a cridit card what do you think of?  If you think of getting into debt and irresponsible shopping and all the bad things to do with owning a cridit card then you are unlikely to ever think of them any other way.  However, if you don’t really formulate an opinion yet but lean a little to one side or another then i have a chance of swaying you… » Read more: Cridit Cards are not all evil

Apply for student credit card

There will be a new term approaching soon (or semester) and you’ll all be fresh from your holidays where you’ve spent a fortune.  Of course if you’ve learned anything in college or your first or second year in university then you’ll know that it’s pretty important to work a little in your summer break… » Read more: Apply for student credit card

Comparison of credit card companies is essential

August 7th, 2010 by Ron Martin No comments »

Credit card companies will always try to look the most appealing, and that is a simple fact.  That is why a comparison of credit card companies is essential in order to get the best deal and the credit card that suits you the best of all… » Read more: Comparison of credit card companies is essential

The best reward credit card

August 5th, 2010 by Ron Martin No comments »

Now everyone wants the best rewards from their credit card don’t they?  But sadly many people still opt for the first card to accept them when they apply.  This can result in them getting very good rewards, but they may be rewards that the cardholder doesn’t need and will never use, like airmiles perhaps or money of wine and CDs… » Read more: The best reward credit card

Hold out for a good credit card

August 3rd, 2010 by Ron Martin No comments »

When you’re looking for a credit card you simply have to compare the market (if you’ll excuse that rather over used phrase!)  If you fail to look around you’ll only end up with a credit card that simply doesn’t do as much as it can for you…

The idea is that you get a credit card that offers rewards that you will use, an interest rate that agrees with you, and perhaps things like 0% on your balance transfers for up to a year of just over.  Now all these things are available readily from various credit card companies but sometimes people get into the trap of accepting the first credit card that accepts them through some ridiculous fear that no-one else will accept them.

Let me tell you something, if you think that you’ll be turned down for credit then you’re probably right, and you should quit trying.  But if you actually think that your credit score is good enough to get a reasonable credit card then simply hold out for the right one.  There is no use in getting a credit card that gives you free airmiles if you never leave your garden gate, and there is no point in getting one that gives you money of CDs when you don’t listen to music.

Basically, shop around and get the best deal.
