Credit card comparison has become some form of game in the financial world today, with people sitting at their PCs and laptops with credit card compairson websites in front of them, jumping for joy when they find one that gives more air miles than another…
So what is it you want from your credit card, and why bother comparing credit cards? Well, to begin with you might have just grabbed the first credit card you could get a hold of, it does happen; especially when you don’t think you’re going to get one! And so you may be holding one in your wallet that could be much much better. For example, you may have applied to a credit card company that offers air miles, and you might not even have a passport! So what is the point in that? Well never fear, you can always spend money on the card, and then transfer the balance to a more suitable card that perhaps offers insurance on purchases or something equally as useful. If you do this you can take the balance of the useless card and wait until you are due to pay higher interest. When you change your balance over you will often be given a few months interest free, or at least at a lower rate.
